The Madison County Historical Society is an all volunteer organization. Our goal is to preserve the history of our rich heritage through the use of exhibits, speaking engagements, tours of interesting and educational destinations, cataloging artifacts, and providing a safe place for historical items and documents.

The Frankton Heritage Days Festival is a three-day event full of fun family-friendly activities and attractions includng a parade, 5K Run, one of the nicest carnivals in the state, food and drink vendors, pony rides, petting zoo, art show, tractor show, helicopter and hot air balloon rides and much, much more! Frankton Heritage Days Festival also features performances by up-and-coming musicians. The word heritage means “traditions”. Each year we celebrate with events for the entire family, parades, antique tractors and lots of entertainment, we come together as a community to work, play, share, serve and even show off a little, celebrating our little community in a very big way!
